Chef Kevin Kane is a dedicated personal and professional chef. He is passionate about healthy eating and exercise and in a very gentle and encouraging way, brings his skillset to the table for his clients.
Kevin grew up in a home that wasnít really focused much on food or healthy eating and it wasnít until he was in his twenties that he discovered the secrets and joys of the kitchen. He got his start working in a large scale foodservice facility and then decided to further his education by attending the prestigious Culinary School at Kendall College in Chicago.
Chef Kevin graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts and since then has been working in and around Chicago with some notable chefs. He says his experience in the field has been an invaluable opportunity to further his skills and enhance his overall culinary approach.
Chef Takashi Yagihashi, who some of you may recognize from the popular Top Chef Masters program on the BRAVO network, was one of Kevinís first mentors at his famous eponymous Chicago restaurant. Chef Kevin learned a lot in the Takashi kitchen and stepped up to every task while demonstrating true leadership qualities.
From Takashi, Kevin jumped into the country club arena where he learned as much as he could about banquets and catering at the LaGrange Country Club. Catering to the members and their guests, he worked hard at both small and large group events and fine-tuned his timing and presentation skills in cooking for crowds.
Leaving LaGrange to be a part of the opening team at Bill Kimís newest Chicago restaurant Belly Q, Kevin was then able to flex even more culinary muscle in this creative and popular kitchen hot spot.
Chef Kevin has also spent time in the kitchens of Frontera Grill, Prasino Restaurant and Food for Thought, one of Chicago's premier catering and event planning companies.
Ready to work for himself and armed with a great palate, passion and a determination to help people eat better for their health he started his own professional chef service company. Kevin is a native Chicagoan, has a teenage son who loves to eat and together they enjoy exploring the culinary scene in Chicago.
